October 25, 2025 – clear skies – ☀️ 84°
We had a nice turnout at the Palmas Del Sol Bee, with 47 guests. Our sweet volunteer, Carol Pettis, delivered another beautiful stack of 60 quilts for her annual donation. We did a parade of blankets so everyone could see her lovely work.
The winner of the 50/50 was Kathy Guard, from Palmas Del Sol. The other half went to our wonderful hosts. Since we no longer have our bountiful basket door prizes, made by our beloved Letty, we’ve opted to give away “Bee Bucks” instead. The winner receives a bee themed card that entitles them to a shopping spree worth $20 in fabric from our fabric sale at that Bee. Michele Johnson, of Palmas Del Sol, won the Bee Bucks. A journal booklet was donated as a bonus prize, and the winner was Mary Duclos, again a PDS gal.
The soup and sundae luncheon was tasty, and we ushered in the cooler temperatures that we enjoy throughout our winters. Thank you to our kind hosts and all the volunteers who made this a wonderful day!
Bee by the numbers: 84 quilts brought in at the door. 28 finished at the Bee. That’s a total of 112 blankets ready to be delivered to our kids!
