Quilting Bee
Bring a sewing machine with a walking foot, if possible. There’s also handwork, cutting and pressing to be done. Bring your basic sewing kit, favorite scissors, etc. All fabric and other supplies will be provided.
Lunch at LaHacienda is a potluck salad bar. Please bring your favorite dish to share and an appetite to try an amazing variety of dishes from others. You might want to bring your recipe too! 🙂 Please bring some extra moolah to get a chance at the 50/50 drawing (half of which will go to our gracious hosts and the other half to the winner). We always draw for an amazing door prize treasure basket made by the lovely Letty Fowell, and we sell fabulous fat quarters for only 50 cents.

Just a question. Do you use flannel on the backing?
Hi Kathy, We would typically only use flannel on the backing if the top was also made of flannel. We avoid mixing cotton with flannel because the two fabrics shrink differently with washing. Flannel shrinks a bit more than cotton, so the blanket could get wonky and bunched up with laundering. Thank you for asking. 🙂
