We had another beautifully busy Bee Day with our friends at the Arizonian RV Resort in the far East Valley. This group always treats us to coffee and yummy treats in the morning, followed by a fantastic lunch of salads and sandwiches. We had 66 volunteers sewing, pressing, cutting, pinning, layering and tying. Allie and Barb continued their popular stretch break in the late morning. When we’ve been working for a few hours, our bodies need a break to stand, stretch, take deep breaths and maybe shake our booties! Thanks for leading us, ladies!
Another gorgeous Valentine themed gift basket was made by our lovely Letty. The lucky winner of this pretty prize was Lorrie Snyder from the Arizonian. Our 50/50 raffle reached a record high of over $400 total, with just over $200 going to Bev for our kind host group and the other half going to the holder of the winning ticket. This wild win went to Kathy Goentzel from Weaver’s Needle.
Bee by the numbers: 84 quilts brought in at the door. 44 finished at the Bee. That’s a total of 128 blankets ready to be delivered to our kids!
